We at BeLegendary.org are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our web users. Outlined below is our online privacy policy. If you have questions about this policy, please let us know.

Email addresses, mailing addresses, and personal information

Rest assured that we won’t share your email address, mailing address, or other personal information with any other company or organization. You may receive periodic emails or mailings from us with news about peopleforbikes.org. If you ever want to be taken off our mailing list, just let us know and we’ll remove you promptly.

We may provide compilations of the sign up pledge participants to national leaders in order to influence decisions that will improve the future of bicycling, but we will always do so without disclosing email addresses.

Online donations and credit card information

We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which is the industry standard for secure commercial transactions. This encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name and address and prevents anyone else from intercepting the credit card information you send. Your credit card information goes directly to our processing agent; no one at peopleforbikes.org ever sees or records your information. Companies that we work with to process credit card transactions use high-grade encryption and security protocols.

Notice to parents and children under the age of 16

If you are under 16, you should ask your parent/gaurdian before you:

  • Email the site, or ask us to e-mail anything to you
  • Send in any information
  • Enter any contest or game that requires information about you or offers a prize
  • Join any club or group
  • Post any information on the site
  • Buy anything online

If you are under 13  years of age, you should not provide any personally identifable information (like your last name, home address, or e-mail address) through this site without the knowledge and permission of your parent/gaurdian. If peopleforbikes.org learns that you are under 13 years of age, we will not maintain or use any personally identifiable information about you without the verifiable consent of your parent/gaurdian, except as allowed by law. Without this consent, you may be unable to participate in some activities on the site.

There are a lot of dangers on the Internet. We urge parents/gaurdians to explain online safety to their children and spend time online with their children to become familiar with the ypes of content available, especially on the peopleforbikes.org website. Control tools are aviable from online services and software manufacturers to help create a safer online environment for chilren. Also, please contact us if you ever believe content intended for children on our site is inappropriate.

If we decide to revise this policy in the future, we will post a new policy on our site and note the date of change at the bottom of the page. The policy that is in affect when you register will always apply to you.
