What Do You See?
There was an interesting discussion on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/belegendary recently. The above image was was uploaded with the phrase, “We are all wonderwomen!”

Another fact, supported by dozens and dozens of studies, is that you WILL find what you are searching for. In psychology this is known as Selective Attention. If you believe people to be cattle, that behavior is what you will find. The opposite is true as well. Devon looks for the special aspect of each person and GUESS WHAT? She finds it too. This is Selective Attention.
There is also neurobiology associated with it, your Reticular Activator. You buy a new car that you think is awesome – SWEET! Then as you are driving home, you notice that there are a lot of cars just like it on the road.
Your Reticuar Activator just started working overtime. This is the part of the brain that starts firing up and making you notice actions, behaviors and other ‘cars’ you may have otherwise disregarded in the past.
If Justin were to stop thinking of people as cattle and start looking for the value in each person, he will find it – selective attention. Then he will start seeing the positive everywhere because his brain is now looking for it – reticular activator.
YOU are in complete control of your Awareness. So let me ask you this – what do you WANT to see? What are you looking for? That is what you will find.
